Demystify watercolor painting in this fun and supportive studio class! Learn about managing the paint-to-water ratio and enjoy this wonderful medium for creating expressive and evocative paintings. All levels are welcome.


Fundamentals of Japanese Ink Painting: The Four Gentlemen (In-person at ACA)

Students will learn several basic techniques of painting with Sumi ink and brushes to create expressive and meditative paintings of nature. Subjects include the plum blossom tree, orchid, chrysanthemum, and bamboo, which are referred to as “The Four Gentlemen” in classical ink painting.
Beginners are welcome.


Fundamentals of Drawing and Painting Botanicals (In-person at ACA)

Mindful Drawing

Mindful drawing is an approach to drawing that is contemplative, nurturing and restorative for many artists. Each session of this six week course includes a variety of observational and imaginative drawing exercises using graphite pencil, pen and charcoal. Beginners are welcome.


Art Journaling with Collage and Mixed Media
